What Kind of Post-Operative BOTOX® Care Can I Expect?
Often referred to as a lunchtime procedure, BOTOX® patients experience very little down time. Once you’ve had your injection, you’re able to resume normal daily activities immediately. There are no incisions, bandages or anything of the like, and side effects are typically limited to some minor bruising and headaches.
Your doctor may advise you to refrain from laying down for four hours or rubbing the treated area for at least 12 hours after the procedure, as this could cause the solution to migrate to other areas of the body.
What are the Typical Results of BOTOX®?
Most of our BOTOX® patients report phenomenal results, with their skin looking younger and more supple following the injection. BOTOX® is not a permanent fix, however. While results last between four and six months, the treated muscles will eventually regain their ability to contract and the wrinkles will reappear. So you may need to have a follow-up injection at this point.
We suggest browsing through some BOTOX® before and after photos before making any decisions, so you can become familiar with the results you should likely expect.
