What is Juvederm?
The Juvederm collection of fillers is made from hyaluronic acid (HA). HA is a natural substance in the skin that delivers nutrients, helps the skin retain moisture and softness, and adds volume. Each product in the Juvederm collection of fillers is made from a modified form of HA and is injected into the dermis. Each type of Juvederm adds volume and smooths out wrinkles by replenishing natural HA that has been lost.
There are three types of Juvederm approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA):
Juvederm Ultra XC
Juvederm Ultra Plus XC
The key difference between Juvederm Ultra Plus and Juvederm Ultra is defined by the structural makeup. Cross-linking provides stability and viscosity in the Juvederm formulas. Juvederm Ultra Plus is a more highly cross-linked formula than Ultra. Therefore, Juvederm Ultra Plus has an enhanced filling ability, is more stable and is thicker. Juvederm Ultra Plus is injected deeper into the dermis, whereas Juvederm Ultra is primarily injected into more superficial areas of the dermis. Juvederm Voluma is specifically designed to be injected deep in the dermis and to lay right on top of your facial bones. This ability to sit deep and stay in place is exactly what makes Voluma useful for particular injection sites and treatment outcomes. Voluma adds volume to correct age-related volume loss in the cheeks to help create a more youthful appearance.
The Juvederm collections of fillers are formulated with lidocaine, a common anesthetic, to provide a more comfortable experience during and after treatment. It provides the smooth, natural-looking results you expect with the improved comfort you want.

How long does Juvederm correction last?
Correction with Juvederm is temporary. Juvederm has been proven to last up to 1 year in wrinkles and folds with optimal treatment and full correctness.
What happens if I don’t like the Juvederm treatment?
One thing that is wonderful about the Juvederm HA fillers is that they can be reversed if desired. Hyaluronidase is an enzyme that is injected into the area in question and dissolves the material. The treatment can be done immediately or months or even years later.
Most plastic surgical centers charge between $500.00 to $800.00 per 1ml syringe. During your complementary consultation at Estetica Institute, a provider will discuss your goals and determine the necessary amount needed to provide optimal results.
